In this week’s Twitter Mailbag, we’ll talk about Andrew Maxwell’s improvements at QB, how good Notre Dame really is, and those pesky Northwestern Wildcats. We’re back after a one week hiatus (we didn’t plan on it being a hiatus, no one asked any questions). Let’s get started.
What do you think of Maxwell? And is MSU that bad or Notre Dame that good? (@JB1544)
Andrew Maxwell is better than people think. He gets a lot of incompletions because of the wide receivers’ inability to get open, even when the defense is blitzing. Also, MSU isn’t as good as we thought and Notre Dame is better than we expected. There are a lot of worries I still have about MSU, but the Spartans took a lot of things from that game that they still have to learn.
Which unranked B1G team is most likely to upset the Spartans? (@FreeBigMacs)
Hey! Look! The guy who created one of BOTRC’s new logos! Anyways, to the question. MSU’s schedule against unranked teams is Indiana, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Iowa. Northwestern has the best chance of beating MSU. Northwestern is underrated (they already have 3 wins against BCS AQs: Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Boston College), and they ALWAYS SEEM TO MAKE THEIR GAMES WITH MSU CLOSE. Although the game is at home, the Spartans proved last Saturday that even home field advantage can’t make some games close. The Spartans will most likely beat Northwestern, but if the Wildcats pulled off the upset I wouldn’t be surprised.
Why does the QB suck so much? (@MavsRaccoon)
I think your question should be “Does the QB suck?”, and the answer to that would be no. I can’t answer this question, because Andrew Maxwell doesn’t suck. He’s getting a lot of heat because, frankly, the lack of talent at wide receiver is really overshadowing Maxwell’s improvements throughout the season.
That sums it up for this week’s Twitter Mailbag! Thanks for reading.
