Spartan fans, Tom Izzo is back at it. MSU is known for scheduling really tough out of conference games at the beginning of the basketball season, and this year is no exception.
It has already been announced that Michigan State will kick off their season in a game against UConn (in Germany), a prestigious program that’s always among the best of the best.
But that’s not all! Tuesday, MSU announced that they’d be participating in the “College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon”, 24-hours of nonstop basketball at the beginning of the year. MSU’s opponent? Kansas.
Even though Kansas lost their two star players, Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor, any incredible season is a team effort, and the Jayhawks DID make the championship last year.
The game is on November 13th at 7:30 ET.
They are definitely a team to fear, and that’s exactly what Tom Izzo wants. He wants to play the toughest teams possible at the start of every season (example: last season, the two of our early games were against North Carolina and Duke. Eventual one and two seeds in the NCAA Tournament), to show the country how good his Spartans really are.
Both of these games will be really exciting, and I know most of Spartan Nation will be watching too.
